HOW TO APPLY – Lasting several months
|
Purchase:
Hair, reattachment tape, adhesive and
liquid release
Shampoo hair with clarifying or normal/oily
shampoo. Do not use conditioner |
 |
 |
| Part
hair starting at the bottom of the
head. Leave enough hair down at
the nape and around the perimeter
to cover the hair extensions. |
Cut
2 even strips of seamless hair and
pull off the white liner from 1
strip. It is best to add hair in
smaller strips (Approx. 1 ½
- 3") for less tension on the
hair and to wear it up or back. |
| |
|
 |
 |
| Apply
seamless hair sticky side down at
the part line. Leave about 1/8"
away from the top of the hairline.
It should not be placed right on
the scalp as it needs to be flexible
when you move it up and down. Hair
can be attached using the brick
layer method. Press down firmly
on the strip. |
Using
a rattail comb up sweep the strip
and secure with a clip so you can
see the back side. Smooth down hair
on strip with the rattail comb and
remove any bulky hairs that are
not sticking on the strip. |
| |
|
 |
 |
| Take
the second strip, remove the white
liner and add adhesive. Apply the
adhesive to the sticky side. Do
not get adhesive on the scalp. |
Take
the strip #2 with adhesive on it,
turn it upside down so it is going
in the same direction as strip #1
and place it directly and evenly
onto the sticky side of strip #1.
Sticky sides should be together
and hair flowing in the same direction.
Press strips firmly together. Drop
more hair down and repeat. Continue
throughout the entire head. Hair
can be added diagonally at the sides
if you choose. Press down on all
taped areas to help it stay in longer.
Cut and style.
|
|
| Reapply:
Clean off strip and remove old tape with
alcohol and add more new tape. |
Removal:
Use liquid release. Spray lightly onto
top and bottom of the seamless hair extension
tape area and they will begin to loosen.
You can also place a plastic cap over
the hair and sit under a dryer set on
warm for 5 minutes. This allows he remover
to soften.
Gently remove the strips, use additional
remover to dissolve any residue left behind.
Use clarifying shampoo and work into the
oily areas where the remover has been
used. Rinse and repeat. Make sure oily
residue has been removed from the hair.
Do not apply conditioner if client
is going to get another attachment.

How to Apply Pre tipped Hair |
Pre-glued
hair extensions are easy to apply since
the glue is already in place. At the end
of the hair is a protein tip shaped like
a fingertip. You melt the glue with the
fusing tool. Save time by not having to
do any cutting or weft removing. Shedding
is almost eliminated. Glue section is
much smaller and lays flatter. Less glue
means less breakage and tension. Hair
can be reused by removing the pre tipped
piece with remover, cut off the glue tip
and use your glue gun with adhesive sticks
to reapply. Tools needed: 1.
Pre tipped human hair (Body wave or Silky
Straight) 2. One-Hole

Lace Wigs |
| You
have got yourself a great front lace wig
and you're just dying to try it on. The
only problem is you are not quite sure
how to go about it. Read on to find out.
The best thing about applying a front
lace wig is that you can do it yourself.
It is also quite easy once you understand
the technique and practice it a couple
of times.
One of the major issues that many people
face is that a front lace wig frays
at the forehead area. To avoid it here
are a few tips to follow when attaching
a front lace wig?
You can choose between two types of
attachments: double sided tapes and
liquid adhesives. This is attached to
your scalp or balding area. Ensure that
the product you use is of a high quality
and suitable for human use. There are
special attachments available in the
market specially designed for the purpose.
Using adhesive: The front lace is put
back at least to a width of one inch.
The adhesive is then applied which disappears
into the lace front. The wig is then
placed over this. The proper use of
this method creates an illusion of hair
growing out of the scalp.
Using Tape: Cut the tape into strips
of 3 inches in length and approximately
3.8 inches in width. Take one strip
and lay it on to the polyurethane tape
patch area where the lace front connects
to it. Now you can lay the strip on
the front hairline to the edge of the
lace. Press and hold it down. Proceed
with laying the strips until you have
taped the entire front from edge to
edge. Remember to apply pressure on
the strips as you go along. You may
need to cut and overlap the strips as
and when necessary to fit the shape
of the head but this is ok. End by attaching
the last strip to the polyurethane area
next to the lace front on the other
side. Ensure that there are no gaps
in the tape strip line.
This adhesive / tape will help firmly
hold the wig in place The main reason
for putting the adhesive or tape on
is to ensure that the wig does not look
unnatural. It also helps in styling
as well.
When your wig is attached firmly, you
can be rest assured that you will look
great and no one will know you have
a wig on. |
